Announcement! Please welcome Mrs. Lynn Simons as our new English and History Teacher in the ADV Middle School

Mrs. Simons holds Bachelor and Master's degrees in Education. She has taught English, History, Math and Science in elementary and middle school for 16 years. We are very pleased to welcome her to our faculty. Mrs. Simons will begin on Monday, November 27th.

 Middle School Discovery Night

Current 5th grade students and their families are invited to our Middle School Discovery Night to be held on Tuesday December 12 from 6:30-7:30 pm in the north building of Academie Da Vinci.

This will be a highly engaging fun event to include rotations with the middle school teachers and presentations by our Technology, Art, Music and Dance students !

In previous years this has been a very popular well-attended event. Please mark your calendar now to learn all about our middle school classes, expectations, events and opportunities for high school credit!

ADV is a small school AND we want the Discovery Night to be an excellent experience for all, therefore, we must limit attendance to 150 guests, therefore, please sign up at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/adv-middle-school-discovery-night-tickets-39659608958?utm-medium=discovery&utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&aff=escb&utm-source=cp&utm-term=listing for your student and 2 parents/guardians to attend -  3 tickets per family. Academie Da Vinci is now an approved K-8 School! 

We are so excited about the winter/spring registration and lottery!

  1. Students currently in K-4: We’ll send home a form on January 2018

to all our current students in grades K-4. Please let us know if your student(s) will be returning for 2018-2019. Please notify the school of rising Kindergarten aged siblings on the same form. Deadline for return of this form: Tuesday January 6.

  1. New applicants for seats in Kindergarten – grade 5 for 2018-2019 – please visit the school, take a tour and complete the application form by January 6. Call for tour dates and times.  Please call to rsvp for a tour. The Lottery will be held on Tuesday, January 9. Families will be notified by email and will have 1 week to accept a seat. If you have applied for an opening for 2018-12019 please re-apply for next year. Please do not call the call for your waitlist # - we will contact families on the waitlist as seats open up.
  1. Applicants for Middle School (current 5th grade students) – current families have already received the Parent’s Letter of Intent. If you are undecided please make your decision by February 11 at the latest. Please inform us of rising Kindergarten aged siblings on the same form.

Dunedin Arts & Technology School Announces Discovery Night for Newly Approved Middle School DUNEDIN, FL - Earlier this week, the Pinellas County School Board unanimously approved Academie Da Vinci Charter School's request to expand to add Middle School, grades 6, 7, and 8. To learn more about this new program and tour the school, current 5th graders from across the county are invited to a discovery night:

The new Middle School program will thoroughly prepare students for high school, while adding creative methodologies and sources to supplement and expand on the district’s educational program to include:
• Full range of Accelerated courses (Gifted program)
• Integrated STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math)
• Student Council
• Before and after school care
• After school clubs in the arts, science, math and technology
• Small school, safe environment 

Academie Da Vinci supports and encourages students to demonstrate their skills and understanding of concepts through performance in the arts, demonstration, drawing, building and scientific experiments.

About ADV: Launched in 1998 as Pinellas County’s first charter school, Academie Da Vinci (ADV) is dedicated to academic excellence and the arts. The mission of Academie Da Vinci is to develop in our students a passion for learning, high achievement and caring for each other and their community by immersing them in an integrated arts, sciences and technology curriculum. We offer a small school environment that supports children's creativity and thrives on parent involvement with a very active PTA. Exciting Update About Our Middle School!

Academie Da Vinci Middle School is approved! By a unanimous vote of the Pinellas County School Board, our request to amend our charter to add Middle School was officially approved this morning. We want to thank so many supportive parents, the Board of Directors, the PTA, the PTA Board of Directors and our staff, faculty and students for your most wonderful support through this process. We will be hosting a DISCOVERY NIGHT on Tuesday December 12 from 7-8 pm to share more details of our middle school program and enrollment process. All current 5th grade families re-invited to the Discovery Night.
